    Henry Ward Beecher

    I Specialize In:

I’m a pediatric occupational therapist specializing in the remediation of the underlying causes of handwriting dysfunction for children of all ages and abilities. Underlying causes may include retained primitive reflexes, sensory processing issues, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, anxiety, visual-perceptual issues, or executive function delays.

    Compassionate & Professional

I am passionate about helping each child recognize and apply their God given talents to become the best person they can be. You can trust that I will treat you and your child with respect, dignity and compassion in every interaction, while maintaining the highest standards for integrity and ethics. My therapy services are provided on my mobile therapy bus, “Miss Dot.” On my innovative therapy bus, I am able to provide exceptional privacy and a calm environment for clients, without the distractions and noise of a standard therapy clinic. My students enjoy the individualized attention in the comfortable, safe, and fun environment of the bus, where we achieve therapeutic results more efficiently.

I am a pediatric occupational therapist with over 30 years experience, serving private clients in the Tampa Bay area. I received a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 1994, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1992. My OT career has included working in a variety of settings and with many age groups and types of disabilities. These include skilled nursing rehabilitation, home health care, acute care trauma center rehab, school-based therapy, and serving the therapy needs in the homeschool community and a private pediatric therapy clinic. I am also recently retired from homeschooling my 3 children for 11 years. I was drawn to the world of pediatric OT and sensory processing 24 years ago when my first child was born.
